Home boarding or kennels in Blackburn?
Overnight boarding in Blackburn comes in two different shapes: a home boarder, who takes your dog into their own house, or purpose-built kennels, where dogs stay in individual runs on a dedicated site. The eight home boarders are Valley View Pet Services and Digs for Dogs (Blackburn & Darwen), both in Blackburn centre; Sophie's Staycation in Accrington & Oswaldtwistle; Just Dogs Ribble Valley, run by a former police officer, in Clitheroe & the Ribble Valley; and PetStay - East Lancs & Bury, BowWowMiaow, Eat Sleep Walkies Repeat and Digs for Dogs (Rossendale), all in Rossendale. Darwen has no home boarder listed. As with any home boarder, only the area and town are given here; the address is confirmed once you book. Ask how many other dogs, and from how many households, will be in the house during your dates — PetStay's own policy, for instance, is not to mix dogs from different households at all.

The eight boarding kennels are Ribble Valley Kennels & Cattery and Tailwaggers Kennels & Cattery in Blackburn centre, Carr Hall Boarding Kennels & Cattery in Darwen, Aspen Valley Boarding Kennels & Cattery, Glencoe Kennels and Cattery and Lancashire Canine Academy in Accrington & Oswaldtwistle, Mitton Hall Boarding Kennels & Cattery in Clitheroe & the Ribble Valley, and Willows Wags & Whiskers in Rossendale. Willows Wags & Whiskers is licensed for up to sixty dogs and eighty cats, the largest capacity published on this page; most of the other seven also take cats alongside dogs.
