Dog boarding and day care prices in Cambridge

Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.

Twenty dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Cambridge, spread from Cambridge City Council's own core postcode districts out to East Cambridgeshire around Ely and South Cambridgeshire's villages toward Histon and Sawston. Only seven of the twenty publish a price on their own site or a page checked for this listing: Third Bridge Holiday Home for Dogs, Catherine Adams Pet Sitting, The Hound Dog Hotel, Norman's Dog Day Care, Oakington Dog Day Care Centre, We Love Pets South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge Paws. The rest quote once they know your dog's size, temperament and dates, so the figures below are a starting point for what boarding and day care cost locally, not a full price list for the town.

Boarding kennels

Only one of Cambridge's six boarding kennels publishes a night-by-night price: Third Bridge Holiday Home for Dogs, near Haddenham, charges £18 for one dog in a room or £27 for two dogs sharing. The other five kennels here — Cloverleigh Dog Boarding Kennels, Mitchells Farm Boarding Kennels, Amberlea Country Kennels & Cattery, Cosy Kennels & Cattery and Meow Bow Wow Country Hotel for Cats & Dogs — do not publish a rate, so ring and give your dog's size and dates.

Home boarding

Two home boarders publish a night rate: Catherine Adams Pet Sitting, in the Ely area, charges £20 a night, and We Love Pets South Cambridgeshire, in the Sawston area, charges £55.50 per 24 hours for home boarding, plus £20.50 an hour for dog walking and £88.50 per 24 hours for house sitting. The Hound Dog Hotel, in the Histon area, tapers its rate with length of stay: £30 a night for one to three nights, dropping to £28 a night for four to seven nights. Cambridge Paws, in the Cherry Hinton area, publishes only one figure, an extra £4 for an hour beyond its standard drop-off and pick-up window, not a night rate. The rest of Cambridge's thirteen home boarders quote by phone once they know your dog and your dates.

Day care

Two day cares publish a full price list. Norman's Dog Day Care, in the Histon area, charges £33.50 for a full day, £28.50 for a half day and £22 for a four-hour puppy session. Oakington Dog Day Care Centre, in Oakington, charges £42 for a full day, £27 for a half day and £52 for a premium activity full day, and also sells monthly membership packages. Cambridge Paws and Meow Bow Wow Country Hotel for Cats & Dogs also offer day care but do not publish day-rate prices beyond the figures shown above.

Everyone else

The other thirteen dog boarders and day cares listed for Cambridge do not publish a price. This is normal for the home boarders especially: a price usually depends on the length of stay, the number of dogs from the same household and how far the boarder needs to travel, so have your dates and dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection and a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
