Dog boarding and day care prices in Exeter
Prices are as the businesses published them when we last checked (September 2026). They can change without notice, so confirm them when you book.
Twenty-two dog boarders, day cares and kennels are listed for Exeter, across the city centre, Heavitree, St Thomas, Pinhoe, Topsham, Exmouth, Crediton and Tiverton. Only three of them publish a price on their own site: Barking Mad Exeter, Sandy Paws & Waggy Tails and Devon Doggies, all home boarders. Everyone else quotes once they know your dog's size and dates, so the figures below are a starting point for what boarding costs locally, not a full price list for the town.

Home boarding, per day
The three published day rates for one dog are close together: Sandy Paws & Waggy Tails charges £30 for one dog and £15 for a second from the same household; Barking Mad Exeter's franchise rate is £34 a day for one dog and £28 for a second, plus a one-off £45 registration meeting before boarding starts (£10 for an extra dog at that meeting) and £49 for its own collection and delivery service; Devon Doggies advertises £25 for what it calls holiday boarding, though no licence entry was found under its trading name on East Devon's register for this service, so ask about that directly before booking an overnight stay with them. None of these figures are directly comparable without knowing how each business counts the first and last day of a stay, so ask before you compare two quotes.
Day care and dog walking as add-ons
Devon Doggies also publishes £20 for a day of doggy day care and £10 for a dog walk, and Sandy Paws & Waggy Tails publishes £8 for a 30-minute pet taxi run and £11.50 for a 30-minute stuck-at-work visit. These are not boarding prices, but they show what a stand-alone visit or walk costs from businesses that also board dogs overnight.
Everyone else
The other nineteen businesses listed for Exeter, including every kennels and every day care with a dedicated site, do not publish a price. This is normal for the niche: a kennels or home boarder usually prices around your dog's size, the length of the stay and how many dogs are travelling together, so have your dates and your dog's details ready when you call. None of the prices above include extras that often apply elsewhere: bank holidays, collection beyond what is already quoted, and a second dog from a different household are commonly charged on top, so confirm the final total before booking.
